  • Rencontres Doctorales Lebesgue 2015
    Oct 28, 2015 to Oct 31, 2015

    Dates : du 28 au 30 octobre 2015
Location : UFR Sciences et Techniques Amphithéâtre Pasteur, Nantes

Comité d’organisation : Adrien Fontaine (Rennes), Olivier Pierre (Nantes), Victor Vilaça Da Rocha (Nantes), Thomas Wallez (Nantes).

Comité scientifique : Thomas Beaudouin (Nantes), Johan Leray (Angers), Noémie Legout (Nantes), Axel Rogue (Rennes).

  • Conference - 31th International Workshop on Statistical Modelling
    Jul 4, 2016 to Jul 8, 2016

Welcome to the webpage of the 31th International Workshop on Statistical Modelling (IWSM).

The 31th edition of the IWSM will be held in Rennes (France) from 4 to 8 July 2016, hosted by the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées.

IWSM is one of the major activities of the Statistical Modelling Society, founded with the purpose of promoting and encouraging statistical modelling in its widest sense, involving both academic and professional statisticians and data analysts. Since its first edition, the spirit of the workshop has always been to focus on problems motivated by real life data and on solutions that make novel contributions to the subject.

The atmosphere of the workshops is friendly and supportive, with no parallel sessions, with the aim of stimulating the exchange of ideas and experiences related to statistical modelling. As a sign of positive feedback, the IWSMs report many returning participants.

Papers focusing on applications with important substantive implications as well as methodological issues are welcome. Submissions by students and young researchers are particularly encouraged.

New information about the 31th IWSM will be continuously added on this website. If you have any questions or comments, please contact us.

Thematic Semester 2014 - Around moduli spaces

Moduli spaces are among the subjects with a longest history in algebraic geometry. Starting from the first ideas of Riemann to nowadays, the research in this field has always been a backbone for the entire discipline. Its amazing development has also motived many technical advances and discoveries. Still these days the relevant amount of researchers working on moduli theory witnesses a very active and vital field of research. The goal of the current semester of the CHL is to explore many different aspects of this field of research, during several conferences, schools and workshops, to be held in Rennes, Nantes, Angers and Brest.

Master program

The universities of Nantes and Rennes propose a special Master program strengthened in algebra and geometry related to the topic of the thematic semester. More informations here.
