Cauchy problem and stability for the inhomogeneous Landau equation

In this talk I shall present some new results on the existence, uniqueness and stability of solutions to the inhomogeneous Landau equation in a close-to-equilibrium framework, in the cases of hard, Maxwellian or moderately soft potentials. These results are based on new exponential decay estimates for the semigroup generated by the linearised operator in various weighted Sobolev spaces.
