In the quantum field theory it can be seen that a strong coupling produces an effective mass or an effective potential, which binds a quantum system. In my talk, we consider a system of a Schroedinger operator coupled to a massless quantum field, and show in mathematically rigorous way that strong couplings produces a ground state of this system. This can be proven by checking a stability condition and a uniform spacial exponential decay.
